Community Vision is staffed and led by a small group of paid staff and volunteers within each community who have expertise and a desire to serve people. Each community has their own .com website affiliate of Community Vision of America. Each website serves as a communication method to help people know which workshops are available to them in their town. Interested participants register online and then attend the workshops of their choice. All workshops are provided at no cost to the participant.
Funding for Community Vision of America is secured through participating churches, grants, private donations and fundraising. Typical workshops address the needs of families, men, women, youth, singles, internationals as well as those seeking employment or job skills, financial skills, foreclosure prevention and a variety of other needs.
The first community website launched by Community Vision of America was ArlingtonAnswers.com which began operations in July of 2009. Workshops were and are currently held in local apartment complexes in Arlington, Texas as well as at the YMCA and local churches and other meeting areas. The plan in future years is to provide similar models to cities across America utilizing the expertise and strength of local churches to meet the needs of citizens in those communities.
Community Vision of America is an organization which provides structure, information and resources to assist local churches in meeting the real needs of the people of their towns. Needs are met by providing helpful workshops and initiatives for the benefit of residents within communities throughout America.
